Welcome to the TMS Professional Development Blog! Professional development has always been a tremendous focus at TMS. For the 2013-2014 school year, an additional opportunity has been created to increase awareness and use of technology in the classroom. The focus of this PD will be “Online Collaboration”.

Teachers are invited to attend class sessions either in-person or virtually. The in-person option will allow us to come together once a month and discuss one aspect of online collaboration. Each month a different topic will be covered. Teachers will be able to learn and then play. There will also be time set aside for sharing of ideas. All meetings will take place in the Data Den at 8:00.  Teachers, please refer to the calendar on the portal for specific dates.

The second option is to follow the modules online. This can be done at your own pace and convenience. All of the information shared in class (with the exception of the potential uses and activities communicated at the end of the session) will be available online.

Finally, it is important to note that if you attend all classes in-person (based on attendance) or virtually (based on comments indicating implementation), you will earn 10 PLUs and get to choose from either a free jeans day pass or free lunch pass!
